The Washington State Fathers Network supports dads of children with special health care needs by connecting dads with one another and elevating their voices. The Network’s director, Matthew Rickmon, offers free workshops to help parents and families. The workshops are:
- Telling Your Story With a Purpose – how to advocate effectively
- Unexpected Journey – beginning the journey after receiving a diagnosis
- The Purpose and Power of Play – helping families benefit from playing games together

“We do our work by connecting men with each other and with resources and information, by training men to tell their story and advocate for change, and by working to promote inclusion.”
