About & Contact

Washington Initiative for Boys and Men (WIBM) focuses on issues that impact boys, male youth, and men in Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, and throughout Washington state. We bring to light areas where males are struggling. We also monitor the successes and failures of efforts to bring about positive change.

Men tend not to speak up, organize, or publicize, so biases against women get eliminated while biases against men remain. The world cannot hear what men do not say.

WIBM knows that equity and equality must include everyone, and it is necessary to look comprehensively at what constitutes equality of the sexes/genders. (See FAQ for more info.)

All of our content fits into one or more of three categories:

  1. Empathy for Boys and Men — affirming the goodness of males and/or offering them empathy
  2. Discrimination and Prejudice — spotlighting discrimination or misandry boys and men face
  3. Gender Disparities — highlighting sex-based disparities in which males are experiencing worse outcomes

WIBM is run by Blair Daly, a resident of Redmond, Washington, with advice and support from local and national leaders who care deeply about the well-being of our boys, men, families, and communities.

WIBM is the sponsor of the grassroots lobbying campaign to get the state legislature to pass a bill creating a Washington state commission on boys and men. View the statistics demonstrating the range of disparities impacting our state’s boys, male youth, and men.
