An annual fundraising luncheon to benefit Congregations for the Homeless raised over $160,000 last month. The luncheon was a virtual event due to COVID, so a key ingredient in this year’s fundraising effort was a 25-minute video featuring several men whose lives are now on a solid path thanks to Bellevue-based Congregations for the Homeless. CFH’s mission is, “Partnering with men and the community to create a path from homelessness to stable living.”
Congregations for the Homeless reaches out to men experiencing homelessness and provides them shelter and supportive services like mental health therapy, addiction recovery, and employment support, with the ultimate goal of permanent housing and life stability. According to their 2020 Impact Report, CFH helped 88 men access mental health therapy and 123 men find stable housing.
CFH is in the process of building the first-ever Eastside permanent shelter for men experiencing homelessness, which will be located in the Eastgate neighborhood of Bellevue. This facility will serve over 1,000 men each year, helping transition them into stable living. Please consider making a donation to Congregations for the Homeless.
